This group is starting at this wonderful facility with diversity of style and medium. We have abstract, expressionist and realism artists, working in acrylics or oils. We are experimenting with layers using mediums, tissue and found textures such as fabric, paper or plastic.

Instruction is available on most topics, styles and mediums. Challenges, where the instructor will set a task that encourages growth in an area such as Values or Texture are available. Demos and help with techniques like palette knife, composition or colour use are given whenever there is a need. Students with their own ideas and those who wish to experiment are welcome to use the instructor as a sounding block, critical assessment or mentor-ship. This class thrives on diversity.
The instructor, Jacqueline Crawley, has a fine art degree from the University of Guelph, worked as an Editorial Illustrator and Architectural Draftsman and has taught art for over 14 years. Her own work is limited to drawing, painting in oils and acrylic in realism or abstraction. Currently she works in 3D with wire sculpture and has returned to studying printmaking.
