My Art
I enjoy a diversity of themes, mediums and techniques. I don't stay with one subject for long - there are many to explore. My realistic landscapes and still life paintings are from studies of the objects and scenes around me.
Conceptual and Abstract paintings are based on concepts such as boundaries, truths and dualities. I see my art pieces as meditative and are intended to be viewed in that manner. As an Editorial Illustrator I loved the conceptual aspect and challenge to bring the reader to the story through my drawings. Now I want the viewer to be stimulated and enjoy the paintings for themselves.

I have been teaching since 2004. It is a wonderful career for me as I interact with artists and help them grow. It helps keep my own art fresh and my critical eye sharp.
I would like my students to develop their our own style and follow their interests. As a teacher I see my role as opening the student's eyes to new ideas, technique and opportunities so they can allow their own style to emerge.

Curry's Art Store On-line Auction for Dystonia Research
I had one painting in the online auction and another one at the main event at Exhibition Place, Oct 25th, 2011.
Auction is a success!
I heard the auction did very well. I know Curry's staff worked very hard and I am happy their efforts were a success.
